Our customer is an international logistics company, being one of the worldwide market leaders in moving liquids in tank containers by road, rail and sea. One of the Business Unit with its activities in equipment and transport of smaller volumes is one of the European market leaders in all parts of Intermediate Bulk Container logistics. The focus of this unit, is to provide individually or customized full-service logistics packages. We are seeking for a “business-to-business” sales manager with strong general management, social skills and solid experience in the chemical, food and/or cosmetic logistics. In this role you will maintain the existing business as well as establish and work with partners.

Job responsibilities:
  • Search for and acquire new clients in the Chemical, Cosmetic and Foodstuff Industries who might benefit
  • from company products and services and maximising client potential in Europe;
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements;
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs;
  • Calculate client quotations and administering client accounts using the company system (Microsoft CRM)
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services;
  • Analyse costs and sales;
  • Prepare periodical sales and visit reports;
  • Transfer information and documentation to the Operational Offices in Paris and the german Office
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects.

  • At least 5-10 years of solid sales knowledge and experience in the chemical or foodstuff logistical industry;
  • Ability to work within a commercial and/or sales environment;
  • Ability to work autonomously within a team dynamic environment;
  • To work with integrity and professionalism at all times;
  • Strong sales presence and excellent customer facing skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem solving skills;
  • Competencies: change management, persuasiveness, negotiation, innovation and problem solving;
  • Drive and determination, result-oriented hand on approach. Ability to work independently, with initiative, self-motivation and discipline;
  • Sound judgement and good business sense;
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and effectively;
  • Travel willingness
  • Excellent knowledge and fluency in France and English necessary, third language welcome

You will work in the European Sales Team existing from Key Account Managers, Area Sales Managers and Sales
Support. In this role you report directly to the European Sales Director.
