The headhunters and recruiters of the QRC Group specialising in medical technology recruit highly qualified personnel for the industry. Germany is one of the leading producers of state-of-the-art medical technology, with only Japan and the USA having a higher output. However, because the industry lives largely from exports and is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, competition for the best skilled workers is fierce – medical engineers are just as rare as technicians specialising in medical technology.

For years, the medical technology industry has been one of the branches of industry characterised by the highest innovative strength and extraordinary growth rates. Technological development is the engine that always drives the employment market. With an annual turnover of well over 20 billion euros in Germany alone, it is easy to see that the search for valuable experts is crucial for the future. We know the industry and find highly qualified managers and experts for our customers. We recruit the best employees who can help companies survive in the face of international competition. And ones who drive research and development forward.

New challenges

If you want to continue to grow in the industry, you have to align yourself internationally. Competition is tough here – especially companies from Asian countries are pushing their way to the fore. As many SMEs lack not only experience but also capacities, experts and executives with international experience are in high demand.

Search for top candidates

Around 13,000 medical technology companies with over 190,000 employees are active on the German market. And they are all competing for the best employees. Since the sector is heavily dependent on exports – companies generate about two-thirds of their turnover abroad – the medical technology industry relies on experts who also have a sound knowledge of the international arena.

The German medical technology market

After the USA and Japan, Germany is the world’s third largest producer of medical technology. There are about 1,200 manufacturers in this country. With 125,000 employees, they generate a turnover of over 30 billion euros. The industry is strongly characterised by small and medium-sized companies. 93 per cent of medical technology manufacturers have fewer than 250 employees. On top of that, there are about 12,000 small and commercial enterprises as well as sales offices with a further 75,000 employees.
