As a chemist you only work in a laboratory? Far from it – the fields of application for chemists are as diverse as chemistry itself, and the same applies to the pharmaceutical industry.

From A for analytics or application technology to marketing, production, product management, process engineering and sales, a degree offers a wide variety of fields of activity. Digitisation is also playing an increasingly important role in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, not only since Corona. However, the maturity level of digital business processes has changed abruptly since Corona.

Cloud instead of filing cabinet, online meetings instead of business trips, orders and invoices sent via customer portals instead of by letter and fax: in companies, digitalisation always affects the internal organisation and their own business processes, which become more efficient in this way. This is the prerequisite for launching new products and services on the market and adapting to a changing competitive environment.

IOT platforms collect and analyse an infinite amount of data. The art is to define and analyse the right data for business success and to derive the right measures.

Globalisation accelerates change

Job profiles such as Solution Architect or Global Technical Consultant are also becoming increasingly important in chemical and pharmaceutical companies. Global uniform processes and uniform interface communication for all locations, whether production or administration, are playing an ever greater role. Efficiency and cost reduction are important competitive advantages.

With a holistic way of thinking and action-guiding analyses, Solution Architects and Technical Consultants enable companies to make more informed decisions, prepare for the future and optimise performance. Both professions are characterised by an above-average openness to new technologies and new ways of working.

Unfortunately, only few employees in the company have these diverse skills and are therefore only partially or not at all considered for these functions.

We at the QRC Group have specialised in filling these very demanding job profiles. We are gladly available for an exchange of information.

I would be pleased to receive your comments.
